I am Jamie Martell
Jamie Martell was hesitant to try yoga & came to the practice with a skeptical mind & inflexible body. When she finally stumbled into her first class in 2006, she instantly became enchanted by the magic of yoga- a path for self-exploration, healing, lightheartedness & community. Yoga provided a safe place for Jamie to let go, check her ego & connect with her True Self. In the process, it transformed her mind, body & spirit which allowed her to become more authentic & transparent in everyday life. Jamie hopes to provide a similar experience for all her students. Jamie Martell began teaching yoga in 2009 and teaches an eclectic blend of transformative yoga. Her yoga classes are influenced by intuition, humor, yogic philosophy & psychology, Ashtanga vinyasa & Iyengar alignment principles, and the specific needs of the students, creating a person-centered approach. Each student is encouraged to find personal relevance that can enrich their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually while maintaining the freedom to enjoy the process. Jamie completed her 200-hour teacher training with Dave and Cheryl Oliver at Authentic Yoga Teacher Training (www.davesastangayoga.com) and is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level (E-RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance. Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology.
I am Dustin Martell
Dustin is a father, husband, & yogi. He really didn’t want a bio written about him, but he’s really too great to be left out. Without his sacrifices & support, Jamie Martell would be unable to follow her dreams of being a stay-at-home mom, yoga teacher, & festival planner. He is one of the five tribe members who are planning the festival; he keeps our feet planted firmly on the ground & keeps us dreamers out of the clouds. Dustin is a healing arts practitioner & has practiced reflexology for over 15 years. “Reflexology is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet & hands with specific thumb, finger, & hand techniques. It is based on a system of zones & reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet & hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.”
I am Belinthia Elder
Belinthia is a registered dietitian, yoga teacher, & avid soulshine enthusiast. As a self-proclaimed bliss-seeker, she is forever on a lifelong quest for beauty, love, & truth in every breath. She received her 200 hr RYT training from Inlet Yoga in Murrells Inlet, SC in February 2014. Belinthia is a mama bear & a loving wife and if she’s not on her mat, you can find her enjoying wine or coffee & lounging in her PJ’s devouring a good read. She will start her 500hour training at Inlet Yoga in the summer of 2017 with Beryl Bender Birch, the founder of Power Yoga. Her yoga practice has been an anchor during both the high & low seasons of her life. Belinthia believes that a yoga practice constantly showers you with blessings, truth & grace, & invites you to live life with a heart wide open. Her intention with each class is to inspire the journey of self discovery with the union of breath, body, mind and soul.
I am Hannah Rose Williams
Hannah Rose is a free spirited yogi with a deep passion for healing. She discovered yoga during her first years of college while she experienced feelings of depression, anxiety & self doubt. She found that yoga helped her relax and become comfortable in her own skin which opened her eyes to seeing the world in a more understanding way. Now she feels called to assist others in discovering their own personal liberation, as she lives by the sentiment that true freedom can only be found within. Her classes are focused on synchronizing the movement of breath & body to cultivate presence in the here & now. Hannah Rose received her Yoga Teacher Certification (RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance in Darjeeling, India. In addition, she offers Reiki therapy & chakra healing energy services.
I am Dani Fassett
Danielle (or Dani) for short is a daughter, sister, wife, mom of three, homeschooler, twenty year yogi that also happens to have an MBA. She’s excited that this year she’s helping streamline the festival’s marketing and media efforts which means having the ability to combine her two greatest loves – yoga and marketing. (Besides her people, course.) Dani received her 200 hour YTT Certification in 2017 and now teaches strength yoga at Our Sacred Space Yoga. She believes a bit of yoga, and the consistent return to your breath, can create an impactful and lasting change in your mind, body, and spirit…drawing forth vitality, harmony, healing and peace from within.
